In memory of James Bing
BING, James Robert
November 18, 1945 - April 3, 2018
With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bob Bing; beloved husband of 50 years to Heddy (Schaff), father to Robert (Shannon), Stacy (Terry) and Anthony (Mindy); Amazing grandfather to Tyler, Payton, Ryder, Bowyn and Mackenzie, and to Terry's children Kaylee, Megan and Kenzie.
Bob, born in Regina, Saskatchewan, was predeceased by his parents Robert and Dorothy (Bowie) Bing.
Although an only child, he considered Heddy's family as his own and loved them dearly. His many years with DuPont Canada led him from North Vancouver to Regina, Edmonton, and back to North Vancouver. He deeply valued the many lifelong friendships with his DuPont colleagues.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman, loving skiing, boating, snowmobiling, biking and scuba diving, but most of all he was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday April 28, 2018 at St. Christopher's Anglican Church, West Vancouver at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honour to pancreaticcancercanada.ca or to paulsugarfoundation.com
