In memory of John Leith
LEITH, John Robinson
February 5, 1930 - May 10, 2017
Called home to Heaven to be with the Lord he loved. John died on May 10 at Evergreen House in North Vancouver.
He is survived by his dear wife of 57 years Muriel (Lynn); niece Brenda Shaw (Johnathon); nephew Scott Hilts (Denise); great-nieces and nephews Amanda, Adam, Laura, Victoria, Angus, Emily, and Molly; and his beloved dog "Candy the Dandy". He was predeceased by his sister Marion Hilts.
John grew up in Toronto, was a member of Calvary Church, and graduated from Briercrest College in Saskatchewan. John and Muriel moved to Horseshoe Bay in the early 1960s, and he became a butcher with Safeway for 47 years. Most recently, he worked for 22 years at Someplace Special in Caulfield, where he was loved by colleagues and customers alike.
He was buried in a private graveside service in Capilano Cemetery. A service in his honour will be held on Wednesday, June 14 at 2PM at the West Vancouver Presbyterian Church, 2893 Marine Dr.
He will be loved and remembered for his kindness and happy spirit.
