In memory of
Jean & Tom Mackintosh
Jean Mackintosh
Dear family and friends, it is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of beloved Jean in the early hours of Jan.10th, 2014.
We were lucky enough to have her pass away at home with her soul mate of 65 years, Tom at her side. Lindi and Fiona were also with her.
We know it sounds cliche, but Jean's passing is a blessed relief for her.
There will be no service by request, we will celebrate Jean's life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it was Jean's preference any donations be made to a charity of your choice.
We know Jean has touched many lives, and we thank you for your kind thoughts during this difficult period.
Affectionately,
Tom and family.
Tom Mackintosh
Our beautiful Dad passed away Feb.13th 2014 at 11am.
Dad died, loved, safe and dignified. Lindi and I were fortunate enough to be with him until the end.
Like Mum, Dad requested no funeral, "no fuss". His generosity touched everyone, so his wish was to be memorialized in each of your hearts.
We will have a small family celebration for both Mum and Dad.
Dad would like any donations in his memory be made to the
Paul Sugar Palliative Support Foundation
Lindi and I are understandably bereft after 2 such irreplaceable losses, but comforted in the knowledge that both Mum and Dad are at peace together.
Some of Mum and Dad's most fun and relaxing memories were made in Hawaii, so, Lindi and I will take some of their ashes in the fall and scatter them in the warm ocean they loved so much. To honour Dad's abiding love for Scotland, we will have a single tree planted in both their names in Cashel Forest near Loch Lomond, so it can grow as one.
We know this news will bring much sadness as Dad was universally loved and respected, however, remember that twinkle in his eye, his quick, and, of course that moustache!!!
Lindi and I send our fondest love to our family and good friends, and our heartfelt thanks for the lovely remembrances and donations on Mum's behalf.
Lindi, Fiona and families.
